I lived here for the school year 2021-2022 and it was the worst housing experience I had during my 4 years at Temple. When I moved in the living room couch was scratched up and damaged and I was informed by an email within the first month of living there that it would be replaced. It was never replaced during the year I lived there.
For several months I was charged a fee for not having renter's insurance which was outlined in their lease but I did have insurance which they didn't accept... because they didn't believe my proof of insurance. I had to contact them month after month before finally having my insurance agency call on my behalf to explain that my current proof of insurance did in fact prove that I had insurance.
After my roommate and I moved out they tried charging us for damages to furniture which we did not cause. We submitted a formal dispute as per their policies and we were told our dispute would be reviewed within the next month. They didn’t get back to us again for 6 months when we received a notification of an outstanding balance with no mention of our dispute. My roommate and I immediately spoke to the staff about this and they made us believe the issue had been dropped. We received a notice in October 2024 that we had an outstanding balance after 18 months of no contact.
No self-respecting student should ever choose to suffer the indignity of living at the View at Montgomery. It is wildly overpriced for the small rooms they have available and they take advantage of the fact that many of their tenants are inexperienced renters so that they can claim damages. Plenty of options near Temple’s campus are better and more affordable than this sorry excuse for housing.

this place likes to pretend like it's some thriving social community for temple students, when in reality the new management could not care less about the people living here. For the past three months, a resident has had their car parked in the lot and the alarm goes off at random hours of the night, waking up dozens of residents and irritating anyone who lives on the side adjacent to the lot. Management has done nothing to solve this despite the tenants of this building being college students,... some of which have early classes that require a full night's sleep.
However, if you like having awful wifi that cannot load even a low quality video on youtube, or getting stuck in rickety elevators, or maybe even a security guard that lets just about anyone in here, then this is the perfect place for you. Just don't expect to find anyone competent in the "office" that can actually help you if you have a serious problem, they're only there to sell you a lease.

Hello, thank you for your detailed feedback. Unfortunately, since your review was left anonymously, we are unable to reach out to you directly regarding your concerns.
We have received complaints regarding a car alarm, and can assure you that this... has been addressed with the owner of the vehicle directly! After our most recent conversation, it's our understanding that the alarm has not went off since.
All of The View's Wi-Fi is serviced and maintained by a third-party company, Hotwire. We were made aware of a system issue a few weeks ago, and sent out communications to submit service requests! I would recommend visiting your email to submit a service request if you are experiencing issues within your unit, or calling a technician to your apartment by contacting Hotwire directly at (800) 355-5668.
There are additional points that you've mentioned in your review that we would like more information about to better your resident experience with The View! We would appreciate it if you would contact us at (215) 423-1100, or by email at info@theviewatmontgomery.com.

Moving into this Apartment to continue on with my college at Temple University was such a great decision. With many amenities included in the rent and furnishings included makes this a perfect apartment while going to College. Access to everything on campus, tanning, a gym, a top floor lounge, and so much more, I couldn't ask for better especially with a monthly flat rate. Highly recommended!

We sincerely apologize for the unpleasant experience you had while residing at the View at Montgomery. It is disheartening to hear about the issues concerning your damaged couch, insurance validation and dispute over damage charges which were not... resolved as per your expectations. We assure you that these instances do not reflect our usual standards of service, and we will work on it with our management team for internal improvement. Our aim is always to provide a comfortable living environment for our tenants and we regret if we have fallen short in this instance. The feedback on pricing and communication methods with renters also does not go unnoticed; we understand how critical it is for us to be transparent, especially with students who might be renting for the first time.
Again, sincere apologies if our services did not meet your expectations. We value all feedback as it helps us better improve our services in every aspect.
