I (34, m) am a professor at Penn and usually travel for research during the summer. While I'm gone (this year probably between May and July), I always sublet my furnished apartment while I travel. This is a beautiful apartment: 1bedroom + 1 large living room + 1 bathroom + eat-in kitchen + 12-foot ceilings + exposed original beams and brick wall (the building used to be a chocolate factory, now turned into loft apartments) + 3 big closets. Washer and dryer inside the apartment. The place comes fully furnished, everything is brand new, large TV, comfy sofa, fully equipped kitchen - leaving nothing to be desired! You will have the whole apartment to yourself since I will be gone for the summer. Nearby parks, shops, restaurants, and bars make this the perfect experience. Even the Philadelphia Mayor lives across the street (you will meet him quite frequently at the restaurant/bar at the end of the block). The neighborhood is amazing, quiet, clean, and safe. Nearby parks, shops, cafes, bars, and restaurants make this a unique experience. Subway and bus stop within walking distance. This place lies in the most beautiful, walkable, and safe area (according to Walkscore) in all of Philadelphia). It has near-perfect scores in almost every category The apartment is available for 1-2 months between early June and mid of July. The start and end dates of the sublet are somewhat flexible.Rent is $1690 plus internet, tv, and electricity ($150). The deposit is 1 month's rent. The company that owns the apartment will make a background check before we sign the lease - that way it will be official and to the benefit of both sides. Let me know if you have any questions. Happy to connect you to those who have previously sublet my apartment if you want to obtain first-hand information about the living conditions.
